It’s not that I mind you staying over. You don’t talk too much when I’m trying to sleep. You don’t take all of my covers in the middle of the night. I might even like having you near, even when we’re back to back, each curled up on our own side of the bed.

I won’t ask you to stay. That would imply I need you to, and you might confuse my preference with weakness. Like the way you mistake my wanting to see you with not being able to be without you. Maybe you don’t like to have to say no to me. Or maybe I make it harder for you than I realize.

Either way it’s better to let this be your idea.

Come to my Window

I got a call during my walk of shame home, one of the boys was waiting for me.

I started working up an excuse for how I managed to lose my sweater, and ways to be distracting if I couldn’t deliver the lie with a straight face.

The best cover is to make him think I’m ready to play. So I told him to surprise me — I like the unexpected, finding something tall, dark and naked warming up my bed. Or lurking in the shadows.

Turns out the subject of my sweater never came up.

A Little Pick-Me-Up

Surprisingly I don’t always get my way.

As I said last time, I play favorites. When my favorite is away I tend to pout. Which means I need a shoulder to cry on. A strong shoulder. Preferably attached to someone who can make me forget my name.

Finding that someone isn’t too difficult. All I need is a little dress that becomes a belt when I sit and a target.

Oh sure, sometimes they need a little encouragement …

… but not much.
